Even though you're excited to have your loved ones (girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife/kids/cousin/grandpa/rover/boss) see YOU take that magical step into musical, now-I-have-a-recording land, it's potentially not the best situation for your session.

Making a quality recording requires concentrated performing and listening from the musicians and the engineer - and having a minimal amount of distractions for all parties involved in this process will make your session more productive, and potentially save you time and money!!

Recording your music should be as fun as possible, but it should also be very focused.

I mean, rock on people, but really... take them out to dinner and a movie instead.
